Greg Barber

Position: Starboard, perennial bow seat
Class: Senior
Major: Economics
Hometown: Plantation, Florida
About: Gregory first started rowing in eighth grade, after his friends convinced him by describing crew as "a workout club." After five years with his high school rowing team, he was awarded Student Athlete of the Year for his academic achievement and dedication to the sport. He joined the team last year under coach Benjamin Goldstein, where he learned the importance of backsplash in a proper stroke.

Outside of crew, he has a passion for international affairs and Headsweats hats.
Career: Previous experience in academic research, looking to move into strategy consulting
Favorite Memory about Crew: After struggling to learn how to properly row, my first coach told me "You will take thousands of strokes in a week. If you have some bad ones, don't let them get to you and focus on making the next ones better."
