ABOUT
FLORIDA CLUB ROWING

Florida Club Rowing is a competitive club sports team at the University of Florida. Founded in 1984, we have never let the classification "club" define our performance or results. We compete against Division I, II, & III teams, as well as other club teams, in one of the most physically and mentally rigorous sports in the world.

Florida Club Rowing started off as just a small group of passionate athletes. They rowed in mixed men/women line ups until they had enough rowers to separate into women's and men's team. Now we have about 100 rowers, and four full teams: Novice Women, Novice Men, Varsity Women and Varsity Men.

We have pushed ourselves into the national spotlight with our Men’s and Women’s Varsity 8+’s winning gold at the Head of the Hooch in 2017 and 2018 respectively, our Women’s Lightweight 4+ and Women’s 2x obtaining national club (ACRA) titles in 2018 and 2019 respectively, our Women’s Lightweight 4+ winning gold at Dad Vails in 2019, and our women’s team winning the 2019 national championship (ACRA).
